The famous Hartlepool Marina offers an excellent family day out, with the HMS Trincomalee and a reconstruction of life in an 18th century port.

Only half an hour away is the maginificent city of Durham, with its world famous cathedral and castle. Take a walk along the riverbank, stop for a drink in one of the excellent cafes in the city or spend the day in some of the unique shops on offer.
